They say the best camera is the one you have with you, and these days almost everyone has a powerful camera in their pocket all the time—a versatile smartphone with ever improving photographic capabilities. In this 80 minute workshop, learn how to use photographer’s techniques and a naturalist’s eye to take better pictures with your smartphone, as well as how to edit your photos for quality and appeal with free apps. The workshop will also cover what you can do with your pictures when you’re finished—from sharing a love of of Long Island wildlife on social media to contributing to global citizen science projects. This program is aimed at beginner to intermediate photographers, beginning with a brief presentation, then heading outside for practice and feedback.
